Re-Building Communities

To whom does space belong?

Re-building Communities: a work in progress showing

Public space – not mine, not yours, not ours? Creating space, feeling space and re-thinking space. What happens when people are forced apart? Join us for a collection of research pieces created by an 11 person cast sharing artistic research in the context of the pandemic about private/public spaces and invigorating personal stories.

Showing Dates:
Samstag: 25.09. 16:30h
Samstag: 25.09. 18:00h
Sonntag: 26.09. 16:30h
Sonntag: 26.09. 18:00h

Please meet us at the entrance of Katapult, Wilhelminenhofstraße 91, 12459 Berlin punctually. As this is an outdoor performance, in case of bad weather the show will be postponed. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the show in case of postponement. This is a site-specific show, where we will do a small walking tour (around 500m) for the duration of approximately an hour. The ground is all paved, however there is some uneven ground. Please contact us if you have any access needs.

If you have not been vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19, you must bring proof of a negative test from the same day to gain entry. Please wear an FFP2 mask on arrival and for the duration of the show and keep 1.5m away from other audience members and performers.

The initial creation phase and first work-in-progress shows of “Re-Building Communities” in May 2021 were supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. “Re-building Communities” has been a co-production between Cameo Acrobatix, Francesco Procopio and Katapult. In September 2021 “Re-building Communities” received funding through Senat Department for Culture and Europe and “Stiftung für Kulturelle Weiterbildung und Kulturberatung” in a slight new crew constellation to organise free public performances as part of DRAUSSENSTADT.

A big thanks to the neighbour community of the area of Wilhelminenhofstr.
